This role is essential to maintaining daily food service operations and creating a welcoming dining experience for students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and serve meals in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Assist with inventory management and stocking of cafeteria supplies Clean and sanitize work areas, kitchen equipment, and cafeteria spaces Follow oral and written instructions to support daily cafeteria operations Perform other duties as assigned to support food service needs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation practices Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English Must be able to lift 25 lbs (unassisted) and up to 50 lbs (assisted) TX Food Handler's Certificate (required before start date; can apply without it) EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods Exposure to kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures Work within school cafeteria settings across multiple campuses PREFERRED SKILLS Prior food service or cafeteria experience Familiarity with school nutrition programs Strong teamwork and customer service skills By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
