This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80-room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re-opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean-Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics center.
The Host is responsible for greeting and seating guests while coordinating guest reservations and responding to inquiries in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sincerely greet and interact with guests.
2. Create a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere for the enjoyment of our guests.
3. Assign tables and write server checks before service starts and be able to seat tables in a way that makes for a smooth service.
4. Be equally gracious with staff and guests.
5. Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance always in accordance with established dress codes.
6. Effectively handle complaints and communicate them through the proper channels.
7. Work with a "sense of urgency" including flipping tables and assisting servers.
8. Maintain the facility and services at the highest quality level for the enjoyment of the guests.
9. Maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server.
10. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledgeable about the Hotel and its outlets as well as general information about the entire property and the local area.
Proficient reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong attention to detail.

Strong customer service skills.
Strong commitment to service
Ability to work a variety of shifts as will involve days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Strong interpersonal and team player skills.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of food and beverage experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
