The Moorings of Arlington Heights Team is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to assist in providing exceptional customer service while managing sales transactions and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Essential Functions:
- Operate cash registers, process sales transactions accurately, and ensure the correct handling of cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas.
- Ensure all merchandise is scanned, priced correctly, and bagged efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels at the cashier station and report any low stock to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with restocking items and organizing displays when needed.
- Follow all security procedures for cash handling and loss prevention, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Stay informed of promotional offers and communicate these to customers during transactions.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
- Strong math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, with experience operating point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.
