About the RoleAs Lead Host at Crazy Pizza East Hampton, you are the first and last impression of our guest experience. You will be responsible for managing the flow of service, leading the host team, coordinating VIP and high-volume reservations, and ensuring seamless communication between the front door and the floor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-profile environment and can balance polish, poise, and personality.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet and welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism
Manage the reservation book and walk-in flow using restaurant reservation platforms (e.g., SevenRooms, Resy, OpenTable)
Supervise and train the host team to maintain a consistent and elevated front-of-house experience
Coordinate table assignments with management and floor staff to maximize guest satisfaction and efficiency
Manage guest inquiries and special requests, especially from VIP clientele
Communicate wait times and reservation updates clearly and courteously
Act as the liaison between guests, management, and service teams
Resolve guest issues or concerns promptly and gracefully
Maintain a polished appearance and upbeat energy throughout every shift
2+ years of experience as a Lead Host or Maitre D in a high-volume, upscale or fine dining environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with reservation management software
Ability to lead a small team with confidence and clarity
Experience handling VIPs and high-profile clientele
Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
Flexible schedule and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
A genuine passion for hospitality, service, and people
