JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Janitor

CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal PT/FT

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE:

• Provide excellent service to guest and exceed guest expectations
• Execute proper hygiene and sanitation techniques everyday
• Execute proper cleaning of restrooms, outside areas and general guest areas throughout the day
• Keep all guest areas spotless and in good keeping
• Use proper handling techniques for all products, everyday, as specified by Chef
• Adhere to JHMR/Teton Co. Health Dept. Hand Washing Policy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Be able to follow exact instructions with a sense of urgency
• Responsible to learn uses and safety instruction of all cleaning products
• Follow cleaning schedule throughout the day
• Keep restrooms stocked and cleaned on a continual basis
• Upkeep of outside trash receptacles and cleaning maintenance of hardscape
• Cleans and stocks offices and restrooms as needed (daytime hours only).
• Performs recycling.
• Performs minor plumbing duties.
• Performs trash pickups.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Report anything that needs immediate attention to the appropriate manager
• Work with all restaurant staff to better serve guest
• Always on time and in proper uniform at beginning of shift including proper footwear

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Neat appearance
• Positive attitude
• Self-Motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Must be able to recognize projects that need attention
• Able to multitask on various levels
• Strong understanding of personal hygiene and sanitation techniques as they pertain to restaurant work
• Should have good understanding of English language

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

• High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous janitorial experience preferred

MATERIAL OR EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED

• Chemicals and other cleaning products
• Vacuum

• Heavy lifting to 50lbs
