Job Details

Join our team as a Banquet Captain and help create memorable guest experiences! Youll oversee set-up, service, and clean-up for events while leading and supporting waitstaff to ensure smooth, timely service. This hands-on role includes training new team members, reading Banquet Event Orders, and ensuring special requestslike dietary needsare met. The ideal candidate has previous banquet or hospitality experience, full-time availability (Saturday evenings required), and a passion for excellent service. This position has a starting wage of $5.23/hour, plus gratuity pool, averaging $28+/hour.

Some of the things you are responsible for:

Making sure all set-ups are done according to contract, make sure they are running on time and that clean-up is proper and complete
Helping train new waitstaff on the proper banquet waitstaff procedures
Reading Banquet Event Order contracts and being aware of special items, such as specific dietary needs or allergies
Supervising and directing waitstaff for each function during busy and slow times of meal service
Attentively serving meals and beverages to guests with courtesy and knowledge of the meal
Ensuring the banquet is running smoothly: glasses are filled, food is served, and tables are cleared in a timely fashion
