POSITION PURPOSE
The Bussers/Barback is responsible for cleaning, resetting tables and help running food, ensuring the availably of ice, bringing guest needs to the attention of the waitstaff, and emptying trash receptacles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Clean tables and remove dishes after party leaves
2. Help run food if necessary
3. Alert servers when tables need attention
4. Carry loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned
5. Fill ice bins
6. Help wash bar glassware
7. Help bar with stock and kegs
8. Empty trash receptacles
9. Be able to remain focused and on-task during busy hours
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment, and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be both a team player and self-starter.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance
2. Must be willing to work swing shifts, weekends and holidays as directed by General Manager
3. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
4. Must be able to stand, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
