Overview Cashiers/Back-Up Receiver's provide excellent, professional customer service and serve as a back-up to the store's Receiver. They receive authorized merchandise and process all credits and shortages. Everyone at PCC is expected to: Collaborate Demonstrate Kindness Focus on the customer Instill trust Value diversity Main Job Responsibilities Provides excellent, professional customer service Serves as back-up for receiving department Maintains backroom orderliness and cleanliness Receives authorized merchandise and processes all credits and shortages using a hand held computer and in accordance with company policy Professionally communicates with the store director, customers, drivers, and suppliers regarding product Accurately and efficiently scan and key items into register Receives and processes all payments according to PCC standards Performs basic math skills and proficient at 10-key Communicates effectively about PCCs membership and programs Handles merchandise returns Bags groceries according to PCC bagging guidelines Maintains an orderly appearance at the register Qualifications and Skills Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service Excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high degree of accuracy Ability to detect mistakes, trace errors and omissions, and problem solve and communicate in an efficient and timely manner Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office products, file management, and the ability to use a computerized hand-held unit Available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends Must demonstrate basic math skills and proficiency at 10-key Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills Previous retail or public customer contact experience desired; background in cashiering or retail grocery industry preferred Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits and Perks Additional $1.25 Night Differential when applicable.
