The Lead Wait Staff member is responsible for assisting in the residential dining room to provide a pleasant dining experience for residents and their guests. The incumbent provides supervisory oversight of the Wait Staff and performs daily dining room opening or closing tasks.

Pay: $23-$24.50
Hours: Full-time (40+ hours per week), with occasional overtime. Some days may start earlier depending on catering events, but the primary schedule is 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides oversight supervision for the Wait Staff members.
Oversees dining room operations in the absence of the supervisor and manager.
Provides residents and guest with superior customer service.
Seats residents and guests. Takes their food orders and serves requested items graciously with courtesy.
Answers residents' and guests' menu questions.
Maintains safe and sanitary conditions for dining rooms and staff work stations. Conducts and oversees cleaning assignments. Makes on the spot corrections as needed.
Checks function sheets. Ensures staff and facilities are prepared to support planned daily functions and special events.
Sets and clears dining room tables. Maintains work stations.
Follows proper food handling techniques and maintain standards of quality for all dining areas.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years' food service experience with at least six months' experience as a lead preferred.
Current Food Handlers' card.
Current class 12 mixologist permit.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Warm, cordial, and enthusiastic attitude.
Understand local, state and federal regulations regarding OSHA laws and health and sanitation regulations.
Problem solving and reasoning skills.
Good judgment and ability to make sensible decisions under pressure.
Genuine interest in working with older adults.
Ability to work well with others; team-oriented.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Neat and professional in appearance.
Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance.
Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written.
