The Westbrook School Department is hiring a Head Custodian for Westbrook Middle School. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy school environment, supervising and directing staff, and overseeing everyday building operations. Responsibilities include: general cleaning and routine maintenance, HVAC system management, seasonal snow removal, safety inspections and emergency management, scheduling and planning of projects, collaboration with the Director of Facilities and other building administration, and communication with staff and vendors. The Head Custodian works 6am-2pm Monday through Friday and is on call for emergencies. This position falls under the Westbrook Education Association Support Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Westbrook Middle School is a dynamic, rapidly growing, multicultural school community for grades 5-8 in southern Maine. With 800 students and 100 staff, WMS is a busy environment that encourages all students and staff to thrive.
