About the Estate

Set across rolling hills and private shoreline, this extraordinary family estate operates like a boutique luxury resort during the summer months. With a significant main residence, multiple guest houses and entertainment venues, and a tight-knit team of seasoned professionals, we're seeking a top-tier Housekeeper to help maintain this property at the highest level.

You'll join a staff that includes a long-tenured Estate Manager, a talented Private Chef, and other experienced and dedicated Housekeepers-one of whom is preparing for retirement after many years of service. Our property thrives on a culture of quiet excellence, team mentality, and elevated yet discreet service.

Core Responsibilities

- Daily and deep cleaning across multiple estate buildings
- Full-charge laundry care, including fine garments and linens (handwashing, steaming, pressing)
- Dry cleaning management
- Follow a cleaning and project schedule
- Organization and inventory management
- Event and table service support (including formal settings)
- Flower care, household supply tracking, and light pet care
- Coordinate with seasonal staff and support teams during peak periods
- Occasional travel (up to 4 weeks/year) to other family properties (escape to warmer weather during the chilly winter months!)

What You Bring

- Proven experience in private estate or luxury hospitality housekeeping
- Executive level housekeeping skill set
- Five-star mindset: polished, poised, and guest-service focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with daily principal interaction
- Highly organized with exceptional cleaning and wardrobe care skills
- Strong English communication, emotionally intelligent and calm under pressure
- Able to lift 25 lbs. and maintain stamina across a large property
- Flexible with hours-especially July/August when the estate is in full swing
- A "quiet presence" approach, formal, respectful, and always professional
- Open to both seasoned Housekeepers and skilled Housemen with the right experience

Schedule:

- Full-time, year-round
- September - June (10 months of the year): Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week with some flexibility in start time
- High season: July-August: At this time of the year, the Housekeeping team provides 7 days of coverage so you must be able to work any of the 7 days.
- 48 hours/week is typical
- Many weeks are 1 day off, some weeks are 2 days off

Compensation and Benefits

- $35-$40+ per hour (commensurate with experience)

Additional Notes

- No housing provided (commutable within 45 minutes preferred)
- Relocation support is available for exceptional candidates
- Start date flexible, though preference given to those who can join before the end of the season
