Job DetailsWe are seeking a Pastry Chef to oversee pastry and bakeshop operations for our resort. This position is responsible for leading a talented team in producing desserts and baked goods for our restaurants, lounges, banquets, and special events. The Pastry Chef balances handson production with menu innovation, cost control, and team development, ensuring every guest experience is exceptional.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute seasonal pastry menus for restaurants, banquets, and special events.
Lead and train the pastry team, fostering a collaborative and supportive kitchen culture.
Manage daily production and ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost controls to maintain budget goals.
Partner with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on menu planning and special promotions.
Maintain Hyatts high standards of food safety, sanitation, and operational excellence.
Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry role in a hotel, resort, or highvolume environment.
Strong skills in plated desserts, banquet production, breads, and chocolate work.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills with a focus on training and mentoring.
Ability to balance creativity with operational efficiency and cost control.
Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
