The impact youll make

The Lead Breakfast Attendant will oversee kitchen operations, create an innovative menu, and prepare or coordinate the preparation of food ordered by patrons.

What youll be doing
  • Oversees the operations of the kitchen and back-of-house, ensuring that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to specifications or request.
  • Ensures kitchen runs in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and hygiene codes and standards.
  • Creates and modifies the restaurants menu based on food trends, food costs, patron requests, and seasonal availability.
  • Oversees stocking, ordering, and purchasing of ingredients, ensuring that necessary ingredients are available and as fresh as possible while also minimizing spoilage and waste.
  • Maintains and inspects kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Maintains kitchen budget.
  • Prepare food of consistently high quality by following recipes and special instructions while upholding portion and production standards.
  • Follow all food safety standards by date marking, proper product rotation, and proper temperature and time holding.
  • Properly store all food products during and after use.
  • Assist in food control standards to reduce waste.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment and general working environment.
  • Contribute as a team member by reporting to work as scheduled, learning and refining processes and procedures, and supporting others as they learn.
  • Always maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations.
  • Prepare the breakfast area for service by cleaning guest and service spaces and stocking essential supplies for ease of use.
  • Effectively engage and build rapport with guests to identify needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Proactively communicate special needs or requests and take ownership to resolve guest challenges, working collaboratively with the restaurant team.
  • Maintain cleanliness of breakfast spaces throughout and after shift, completing side work and stocking as needed or assigned.
  • Always maintain professionalism consistent with restaurant and company expectations.
  • Know and communicate restaurant emergency procedures; inform and assist guests in emergencies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
You should be able to
  • Stand and preparing and cooking food for prolonged periods of time
  • Lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.
Requirements
  • At least two years of culinary experience required.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
