General Duties:
General cleaning of buildings and furnishings, such as sweeping, washing, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning toilets, washing walls, disposal of rubbish, cleaning windows and light fixtures, checking doors and windows, and dusting anything that needs cleaning.
Receive and distribute supplies, move furniture, make minor repairs on building and equipment.
Protect building in event of damage, broken glass or other emergency.
In absence of head custodian, operate heating and ventilating plant.
Shovel snow.
To perform related work as required by the Superintendent, Principal or Director of Maintenance.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is required to regularly interact with the students, staff and the public. May be required to work in the following environmental conditions: dusty, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor.
