Facilities Technician/CustodianFSLA: Non ExemptDate: July 30, 2025Facilities Technician/CustodianJoin us at Notre Dame Academy - Hingham, an all-female college preparatory high school dedicated to empowering young women in grades 6-12. As a vibrant Catholic learning community sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, we focus on personal faith formation, academic excellence, and social responsibility.Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Director, the Facilities Technician/Custodian will be responsible for performing custodial duties along with general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds work and cleaning/disinfecting work around the school campus. *Hours are subject to inclement weather conditions, scheduled events or other emergencies that take precedence. Employees may be asked to work outside of scheduled shifts (nights/weekends) when needed.Components of Responsibility Performs routine custodial tasks as assigned by Facilities DirectorWork with Facilities Director to support athletic event needs.Reports and responds to emergency calls for cleaning/maintenance assistance.Assist with fire prevention inspections and drills. Implements the set up and take down of furniture and equipment.Assists in preventative maintenance for building mechanical equipment.Perform minor building HVAC, plumbing, electrical and cosmetic repairs, and upkeep as necessary.Ground upkeep (mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, sprinkler upkeep, seeding, fertilizing, spraying, snow removal, etc. when needed) Responding to miscellaneous faculty request and needs as they arise Other tasks assigned by Facilities Director and/or PresidentQualificationsTwo years of custodial and or building and maintenance experienceSnow removal and landscaping experience preferred. Valid Driver's LicenseAble to work professionally in and around school community members. Able to work in various environments, indoors and outdoors (during inclement weather)Able to perform physical and manual labor lift 50 lbs.Understands and carries out oral and written instructions.
