We're seeking a Cook to join our team in Gilman, IL. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating nutritious, patient-centered meal plans. As a key collaborator with the Managing Chef, you'll oversee menu planning, accommodate dietary needs, and collaborate with a kitchen team dedicated to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Position Details:- Reporting to: Director of Operations
- Schedule: Per-diem , as needed.
- Location: Gilman, IL (On-site)
- Compensation: $15.25 - 17 hourly
- Works in collaboration with the Chef to help with the development of menus.
- Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen in accordance with sanitary, national, and local standards.
- Requisition food supplies and equipment.
- Inspect and taste food for quality.
- Helps in the ordering of food, as needed by Director of Food Services.
- Inspect and supervise serving of food.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of food served.
- Assure preparation of sufficient quantities of food in time to meet meal schedules.
- Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Food Services role.
- Work experience in a residential setting, preferably in the field of substance use disorder or mental health treatment.
