Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the Chick-Fil-A as a Student Team Member on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2025. The Chick-fil-A Student Team Member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation, order fulfillment, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented food service environment while upholding the high standards of Chick-fil-A and Georgia Southern University Dining Services.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service, adhering to Chick-fil-A's customer service and quality standards

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the register or through mobile ordering systems

Prepare and package food orders according to Chick-fil-A standards

Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment

Restock inventory and supplies as needed

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations

Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Shift Specifics

Up to 25 hours per week

Flexible with schedule of availability

Shifts available Monday - Friday

7:00 AM-11:00 AM

10:00 AM -3:00 PM

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in food service or customer service

Familiarity with Chick-fil-A operations or restaurant experience

Proposed Salary

$10.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
