Maintenance Engineer up to 35 per hour Job Description This role involves performing intermediate routine preventative maintenance on equipment, general plant maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting and repair as needed to ensure optimal operability of plant equipment and a safe working environment. The candidate will address and resolve urgent maintenance and repair requests with minimal guidance to minimize downtime and prevent business disruptions. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment. Conduct general plant maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary. Address urgent maintenance and repair requests promptly. Ensure a safe and operational working environment. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, HVAC, pneumatics, and plumbing systems. Experience with troubleshooting and repair of machines. Competency in reading blueprints and schematics. Ability to perform preventative maintenance. Understanding of maintenance repair and facilities maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of three years of maintenance and repair experience, or equivalent combination of education and training. Technical certification or experience with HVAC, electrical systems, welding, and CNC machining is a plus. Experience with twin turret lathe is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing environment with the presence of natural and artificial light, varying work temperatures, exposure to airborne graphite dust, and moderate background noise. Personal protective equipment is required. Employees must be capable of standing for long periods, bending, reaching, walking, and using their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently is necessary. Effective communication in English and proficient use of a personal computer are required. Vision abilities needed include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Maintenance positions available during 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm) with optional overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
