Job Details Giant, located in Logan Square, is seeking a full-time dinner Server/Bartender . We are open 7 nights a week beginning at 5 PM. Candidates must have Sunday availability to be considered for the position.Responsibilities include:
- Prioritize beverage service and pairing details
- Manage section and bar according to service pacing
- Advise and educate guests (when appropriate) based on their personal tastes
- Ensure beverages are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware
- Proficient in building relationships with guests to facilitate return visits
- Ensure food and beverage arrives to guests quickly and correctly, and confirm satisfaction
- Ensure proper table and bar maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, deep cleaning, etc
- Quickly and correctly transport food from the kitchen to the guest
- Communicate respectfully with guests and all co-workers
- Stock and perpare service-related items
- Perform opening and closing duties to standards required
- Set up, detail, and break down dining room and bar to standards required
- Effectively communicate any service irregularities to management
- Assist in cleaning and polishing smallwares
- Assist in bathroom checks
- Assist in deep cleaning of the restaurant when needed
- Confident and correct use of the POS for order entry and payment processing
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
- Full knowledge of complex food and beverage program
- Full knowledge of Giant, able to answer guest FAQs
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
- Adhere to all health and safety standards
- 2+ years of higher-end dining experience
- Strong empathy and team spirit
- Exceptional communication, service, and floor skills
- Ability to work in an organized, meticulous manner with strong attention to detail
- Solution-focused, receptive to feedback
- Strong interest in food and beverage, and the business of hospitality

- Seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for up to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently

Compensation: Hourly ($11.62) plus tips
