Job Description
Join our dynamic team in Patrick County as a Steward / Dishwasher and become an essential part of our kitchen operations. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our culinary team, ensuring a clean and organized environment for food preparation and service.
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual and mechanical methods
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and properly disposing of waste
Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow
Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain smooth operations during peak hours
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment
Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in their designated areas
Perform regular cleaning of kitchen appliances, work surfaces, and storage areas
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the kitchen manager
Qualifications
Minimum of one year experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar kitchen role
Ability to read and write in English for understanding instructions and safety protocols
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per kitchen needs
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety guidelines
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaborative skills
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
