The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other hot and cold beverages to customers following all Stone Mountain Park and Georgia State Health Department guidelines, actively monitors safe food temperatures, and effectively rotates inventory to maintain freshness and quality of all food products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.

Actively participate in all health and safety procedures.

Make and serve specialty coffee and tea beverages.

Greet customers and provide exceptional face to face customer services.

Follow health and safety guidelines.

Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items.

Assist customers with cafe purchase needs and inquiries.

Take customer orders, prepare food and stock all supplies.

Ensure all drink signage and displays, counters and seating area comply with Stone Mountain Park guidelines.

All other duties as assigned.

Must understand, read, write and speak the English language.

Must be at least 17 years old.

Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers.

Must have the ability to workdays, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to understand and follow a number of simple recipes and cooking technique procedures in written and oral form.

Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Must feel comfortable safely handling basic kitchen utensils such as knives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or educational equivalent preferred

Minimum of one-month related experience or training required.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
