Overview

1. Job Summary The Line Server is responsible for accurately and efficiently serving food to customers in a cafeteria, buffet, or quick-service setting. This position involves portioning and presenting food according to established guidelines, maintaining cleanliness andanization at the serving line, and ensuringpliance with food safety and sanitation standards. The Line Server works under the direction of kitchen or service supervisors and must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers. Attention to detail, time management, and adnce to health regulations are keyponents of this role. 2. Key Responsibilities Serve hot and cold food items to customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Follow portion control and presentation standards for all menu items. Refill serving stations and ensure food items are maintained at appropriate temperatures. Greet guests courteously and respond to questions regarding menu items or dietary options. Communicate with kitchen or supervisory staff regarding special requests, shortages, or issues. Follow all health department guidelines for food handling, storage, and service. Assist in setup and breakdown of service areas before and after meal periods. Restock condiments, napkins, utensils, and other service items as needed. Support other food service or kitchen staff with tasks as assigned. 9. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods (6-8 hours) Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently. Reach, bend, stoop, and wipe. Use hands and arms to serve guests.
