Host The James Pub & Provisions, Essex Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. A passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service. Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station. Handle phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring a high level of guest relations and services. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall dining experience. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
