Job Details BIAN is a private members club with a foundation in wellness, designed to help people achieve optimal health, find their center, establish a community, and ultimately optimize their best self. The Restaurant at Bian is looking for hospitality professionals who are empathetic, care about wellness, and want to be part of an enlightened team of forward thinkers. The food program at BIAN is designed with intention, is ambitious in its sourcing, and contains broad offerings for all three meal periods. Breakfast, and a selection of snacks, salads, sandwiches, customizable bowls, sides, and entree offerings are served during the day. BIAN also offers sushi at lunch and dinner with fish sourced directly from Tsukiji Market in Japan. Everything is in keeping with the menus mission statement: Creating the best-tasting food that still aligns with members' health initiatives. In addition to our daily meal offerings, BIAN has a large events program.

POSITION SUMMARY : A successful candidate will have a passion for hospitality, an appetite for personal growth, and a genuine spirit of positivity and enthusiasm. In addition to providing refined, knowledgeable, and friendly service, they will establish rapport with our members and build relationships based on an understanding of each member's unique tastes and needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a warm, positive disposition as well as a clean, professional image.
  • Learn and thoroughly understand all food and beverage menus, along with concern for allergies and dietary issues.
  • Consistently execute steps of service to provide exemplary service experiences.
  • Have strong communication and listening skills, engaging with guests around the menu, answering questions and accommodating any dietary restrictions.
  • Demonstrate calm efficiency while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout the shift.
  • Have a mindful awareness of one's body language and tone of voice while engaging with guests and on the floor of the dining room.
  • Have a flexible schedule inclusive of nights and weekends.
  • Perform established protocols for opening, closing, and running sidework.
  • Be eager to assist your teammates as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • ServSafe/Food Handler's certification required
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with composure, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Ability to self-motivate, working independently without requiring supervision.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to problem solve in real time, maintaining a flexible attitude.
  • Develop competency in all aspects of the position, including operational knowledge of any equipment required to execute one's responsibilities.
  • Ability to stand up for 8-10 hours.
  • Willingness to work varied hours/days according to the needs of the business.
