We are looking for Housekeeping Managers to manage a team of housekeepers, ensuring Sonder runs smoothly, day in and day out! In addition to general housekeeping duties, we rely on our managers to make sure schedules are set, cleans are completed on time and at a high quality, and make sure their team is always working to improve the guest experience!

The Opportunity:

• Oversee staffing and scheduling to meet daily cleaning volumes. Coordinate the daily logistics of Housekeepers and Housekeeping Support Agents, ensuring the team meets productivity standards and forecasted occupancy.

• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors regarding daily cleanings

• Manage team and individual training and performance, including disciplinary actions

• Own budgets, cost tracking, and vendor relationships for payroll, supplies, and laundry

• Maintain required pars of linen, amenities, and consumables for inventory management and in preparation for daily distribution and monthly order

• Perform inspections and quality audits of cleaned apartments and common areas, providing feedback and on-the-job training to cleaners

• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, security issues or damage of Sonder property

• Use mobile smartphone/applications/technology to communicate with the team and report progress

• Conduct special projects as assigned

• When necessary, perform housekeeping duties, including: cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and balconies; changing linen and terry; interior window washing; surface polishing, trash/recycling removal; vacuuming, mopping, and dusting; and item restocking

Who We Look For:

• A professional with a strong work ethic, who has the ability to work effectively both in a leadership position as well as independently

• Previous experience in a leadership role with a housekeeping department or similar operation especially in regard to personnel management; have successfully managed a team of more than 30 housekeepers

• Experience with auditing and managing processes with a focus on efficiency and quality. Ability to identify technical issues and suggest workflow improvements

• Technical working knowledge of digital productivity tools including data analysis in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

• The ability to learn to use mobile applications to digitally correspond with management

• Knowledge of and experience cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, as well as working knowledge of operating professional housekeeping equipment cleaning equipment

• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend

• Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 40 lbs)

• This position requires a smartphone and a car in select markets with valid Drivers License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance. Mileage for work-related transportation will be reimbursed.

Salary range: $75,000-85,000 USD Annual

The pay range for this role is between $71,127.20 - $88,909.00 annually. Actual pay within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including your geographic location. Equity, benefits, and discretionary bonus may be additional forms of compensation for this role and are not included in the provided pay range.
