JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for guests coming into the restaurant and accepting their payment/coupon upon entering the restaurant/buffet. Must provide good customer service with a smile.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assigned a register at the beginning of his/her shift and given a drawer containing a "bank" of money;
  • Receive payment by cash, credit cards, coupons, vouchers, or automatic debit;
  • Issue a receipt to the guest and return the appropriate change;
  • Monitor checkout station to ensure they have adequate cash available;
  • Post charges against guests' hotel room when necessary;
  • Maintain clean and orderly checkout area.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Computer, telephone, fax and copier

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk. The team member frequently is also required to stand, walk and reach with arms and hands, bend and have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Office/Casino environment; Must be able to tolerate casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise levels and stress related to serving customers in a high pressure fast paced environment.
