Job Description

Soi is a return to Thailand-a departure from your normal expectations of Thai food in Seattle. Our idea is to return to what it is really like to eat in Thailand, with a focus on the food of the raised plateau of the Northeastern region of Thailand called Issan.

Specifically, our Thai Specialty Cooks will perform the following duties:

Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes using an understanding of the herbs and spices which permeate Thai cooking, including fermented fish sauce, shrimp pastes, lemongrass, coriander, galingale, garlic, and chilies;

Cook in a fast-paced environment under time pressure;

Prepare different types of Thai specialty sauces so the dishes contain unique and authentic Thai flavors; and

Perform other health and sanitation duties as required by law.

SALARY: $50,690/year

REQUIREMENTS: 24 months in any occupation demonstrating Thai cooking experience ( 2 years of experience in Thai cooking).
