Maintenance Mechanic Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor Department: Maintenance Summary: Perform general maintenance and repair to facility which may involve painting and facilities repair or similar. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Ability to paint well, drywall and plaster 2. Experience with minor repairs 3. Follow preventative maintenance schedule 4. Must be safety minded and have attention to detail 5. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned 6. Mechanical core skills to facilitate disassembly and re-assembly of systems during servicing. 7. Electrical core skills necessary to interact with machine interface terminals to change machine mode and/or make safe for servicing. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and ability to learn company's inventory and manufacturing software.
