Terms of Employment: 10 months
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Salary: Starting at $15/hour plus job experience increase
- High school diploma or GED and minimal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General knowledge of standard office and receptionist procedures, operation of the office phone system, and functions/activities of the public school system.
- Ability to speak clearly as well as understand and follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to operate standard office, computer and word processing equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, associates, vendors, and the general public.
- Greets families and staff, maintains files, orders supplies, copy and drafts correspondence.
- Greets the general public and provides/assists and directs to the appropriate office.
- Answers telephone, takes messages and makes appointments for staff.
- Directs incoming calls to proper office or department for disposition.
- Provides general information regarding school system activities and programs to the public.
- Assists in entering data for staff.
- Assists staff with other clerical duties as requested.
- Perform a variety of office tasks including creating fliers about school events, providing internal communications with staff, have knowledge of school Ident-A-Kid sign in procedures, maintain and complete monthly absence data entry for payroll processing.
- Maintain the master calendar for school events.
- Assist in coordinating substitute placement at the beginning of the day.
- Cross train to complete the duties of Bookkeeper/Data Manager as needed.
- Assists the bookkeeper with fund collection as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by administrators.
- Leave time accrued depending on employment terms and years employed.
