EVS Linen Worker**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated individuals to manage linen distribution within the hospital environment. This role involves organizing and distributing linens on various floors, ensuring clean linens are properly stored in designated areas. The position requires handling bins weighing approximately 50lbs and navigating them throughout the hospital. Interaction will be primarily with nursing staff, without entering patient rooms.
**Responsibilities**
+ Distribute linens throughout the hospital floors.
+ Ensure clean linen is stored in appropriate locations.
+ Handle and navigate bins weighing about 50lbs.
+ Interact with nursing staff to facilitate linen distribution.
**Essential Skills**
+ Janitorial skills
+ General labor experience
+ Housekeeping proficiency
+ Material handling expertise
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Strong attendance record
+ Willingness to learn and adapt
**Work Environment**
The role will be based onsite at the VCU hospital. There is one opening at VCU Short Pump, with hours from 5am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, until November. Afterward, candidates with good attendance may be offered a position at VCU downtown. Additionally, there are **three openings at VCU Main Campus with hours from 11am to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday, and every third weekend from 6am to 2:30pm** . Candidates will undergo an orientation process and receive five blue scrub uniforms, which must be returned upon leaving the position. Sneakers are acceptable attire.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
