Metro Cinema is an upscale, private cinema concept from the founder of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. In addition to movie screenings, the 20 private suites are also available for meetings, events, sports, karaoke and gaming. This is the very first private cinema concept in the United States and will feature upscale, contemporary dining as well as a fantastic wine list and cocktail program. We are looking for hospitality-centric lovers of great film, great food and great drinks to help us usher in the newest innovation in the cinema industry.

Metro Cinema is seeking Expo Runners to join our team.

Youll also support the pre-opening process, including helping to define how we operate, helping to develop SOPs, and launching operational systems.

Experience in luxury hospitality, restaurant or entertainment venues are essential, as is a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a love of movies. Event experience is a major plus, as Metro Cinema specializes in hosting private screenings and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • The ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write
  • Mobility and manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a semi-regular basis and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed
  • The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
  • The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking up to 8-10 hours a day

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for job duties as outlined
  • Maintain a clean and organized station
  • Adherence to company, state, and county service & sanitation standards
  • Adherence to posted schedule, clock in/out times, scheduling policies and procedures
  • Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required
  • Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean plates as you reference suite order
  • Place food that corresponds to suite number on into hotbox cart (triple check that every food item is there)
  • Include appropriate serving utensils for each dish that corresponds to the suite (count plates vs. items on ticket)
  • Make sure you mark modified plates you are packing
  • Remember the FULL hands rule (full hands out and full hands in)
  • Always scan the venue and hallways for any carts that need to be rolled back to kitchen. UTILIZE your steps! Using a cart to bring food, drinks, clean glasses and silverware to a suite can be used to remove any dirty glasses, dishes & anything else that guests are finished with.
  • Keep fingers along the rims of plates rather than touching inside the plate or food.
  • Keep fingers towards the base of glassware, not along the rim.
  • Keep fingers towards the base of silverware, not touching the end that goes in guests mouths.
  • WASH YOUR HANDS!
  • Stock & restocking bar to par levels set by bartenders
  • Knowledge of making house mixes, purees, and recipes to the levels set by bartenders
  • Knowledge of menu items, wines, beers, and cocktails
  • Maintain FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND POSITIVE attitude.
  • Responsible for all side work and cleaning duties
  • Assists all fellow staff members in their tasks when necessary.
  • Carries out all other duties as assigned by management
  • Act as a director of food orders
  • Call orders, as they come in, in order of necessity and relevance
  • Assure orders are being dealt with in a timely and efficient manor
  • Act as an intermediary between kitchen and FOH
  • Direct Servers, Server Assistants, Service Captains & any other employees where food is going
  • Assure high standards of presentation and food quality are kept
