Position Overview:
Pastis Miami, a STARR Restaurant and renowned French-inspired brasserie, is seeking a passionate and dedicated AM Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate is a morning person with a strong work ethic, culinary skills, and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and upholding our commitment to excellence in food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items in accordance with restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
- Set up, stock, and maintain workstations with all necessary supplies for daily operations.
- Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, slicing, and other food preparation duties.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to execute menu changes and special requests.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Follow direction from the Chef and kitchen leadership team to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience as a line or prep cook in a high-volume kitchen is required.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
- Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
