Rock & Rye Oyster House is seeking new front of house team members!
We are a hospitality-focused casual fine dining restaurant with a scratch kitchen and large craft bar. We always try to pair fine dining standards with Bellingham approachability. After eleven years serving downtown Bellingham, we have a dedicated group of regulars and also attract many folks from out of town seeking upscale local seafood. Our cocktail and wine programs are extensive, eclectic, and seasonal. We are open for dinner from 5pm to 9pm Tuesday - Thursday, 4pm to10pm on Friday and Saturday, 4pm - 9pm Sunday. We are also open for brunch 10am - 2pm Saturday and Sunday. We are well into patio season, and expect to maintain patio capacity through September.
Our ideal candidate has part time availability, with no restrictions on Wednesdays, Saturdays or Sundays. One or more years of experience with upscale table service is very important to us. Individuals must be eager to learn and excited to work within a highly collaborative floor model. Everyone lends a hand as needed throughout service, and trains in multiple roles on the floor. Our tip pool works very smoothly due to this supportive environment, as well as due to the general longevity (and therefore proficiency) of our teammates with the company. Craft bar experience is always appreciated.
If hired, you could expect a minimum of two and maximum of four shifts per week. Compensation is minimum wage plus tips, which are pooled daily and distributed weekly.
