Cashier

As a Restaurant cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer orders, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service in a fast- paced restaurant environment. You will be the first point of contact for customers and play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers as they enter the restaurant and assist them with menu options and recommendations.
Take customer orders accurately and input them into the point of sale system.
Process payment using cash, credit cards, debit cards and mobile payment methods and provide customers with receipts.
Handle cash transactions in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized station, including replenishing supplies, keeping area fully stocked and keeping the area neat.
Will prepare orders To Go orders and prepare plates with garnish and sauces.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
Address customers inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in customer service or cashier role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and multitask effectively.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the restaurant.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
Stamina to work in a busy and sometimes stressful environments.
