Organizational scope:

Reports to General Manager

Essential functions:

Customer Service for guest of the hotel

Greet Guests

Check in and out customers of the hotel on property PMS System

Issue keys to guests after a valid method of payment has been collected from the guest

Answer telephones and offer assistance to all in house guests

Answer telephones and make reservations as needed

Make sure front desk area is clean and free of clutter

Make sure shift report is ran at the end of each shift and the proper amount of cash is dropped in the safe (any shortages will be the responsibility of the guest agent's whose name is on the cash receipts)

Make sure cash drawer is counted at the beginning and end of each shift

Report any shortages or overages to your supervisor immediately

Work with housekeeping on tracking availability of rooms for guests

Take trash out as needed and perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Vacuum and clean front desk area as needed

Make sure proper uniform and name tags are worn at all times

Be knowledgeable of the meetings and events going on in the hotel

Receive any income mail and log into proper log sheet for distribution to proper guest or General Manager

Communicate any incoming messages to the guest folio, the guest or the department to which the call is concerning

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquires as they come in

Complete all Shift Tasks/Reports as set out by the General Manager

Miscellaneous tasks requested by your supervisor

Knowledge and skills:

Opera PMS experience recommended

At least 6 months experience working in customer service recommended

Skills and abilities:

Ability to multi task in a fast pace environment

Able to bend and lift to help guests as necessary

Travel:

Minimal travel required

Other as required for training opportunities

Hours:

38 to 40 hours per week or as scheduled

Weekend and evening work may be required

Six months of experience in customer service helpful, but not required.
