Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or restaurant settings, and possess a strong understanding of meal preparation and food handling. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our standards for excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Food Handler Certification.
Availability to work weekday or weekend.
Follow the prep list.
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be easily accessible.
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, peeling, etc.
Ensure all food items and tools are stored properly.
Organizes workstations so team members can find tools and ingredients easily.
Anticipate kitchen needs by constantly evaluating the environment.
Understanding of cooking skills, knife handling, and safety.
Ability to take direction from the Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef.
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the staff.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Ability to work with speed and efficiency.
Additional requirements: Able to walk or stand for long periods. Must be able to push, pull, or lift to 30 pounds. Must reach items at varying heights (on shelves, on the ground, etc.)

Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook in the food service or restaurant industry, preferably in fine dining environments.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food presentation.
Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
A valid food handler's certification is required at the time of hire.
