Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrates a winning personality with refinement and character. Displaying an outgoing personality using confidence and style.
  • Performs all assigned tasks with enthusiasm, professionalism and exceeds our customer’s expectations.
  • Greet guest with a smile and demonstrate high standards of professional conduct and image.
  • Create a positive guest experience. Smile, be friendly and helpful.
  • Accurately uses proper telephone techniques and etiquette.
  • Provides guest with information including hotel; casino and restaurants, including hours of operations; special events and promotions.
  • Inform therapist that guest has arrived.
  • Ability to relate effectively in one-on-one situations with guests and other members of the Company.
  • Review the client’s schedule and answer all guests’ questions about services they will be receiving that day. All Intake Forms must be kept confidential.
  • Be completely knowledgeable about all Bally's Casino Shreveport programs, promotions, activities and functions.
  • Answer patrons’ complaints and resolves problems.
  • Must carry out safety and emergency procedures including, but not limited to, fire, crowd, control, inclement weather and bomb threats.
  • Must communicate with guests and be able to direct/escort them to various facilities and functions within the property.
  • Must interact with guests and other hotel personnel in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner.
  • Sell retail products to clients and fill retail prescriptions as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and spa.
  • Accountable for the intake of payment of service and for the sale of future services including gift certificates.
  • Supports and maintains Bally's Shreveport courtesy guidelines to guests and employees while using all facilities including work out facilities and water facilities.
  • Promote outstanding guest relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS:

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by
  • Bally's Casino Shreveport from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Spa Receptionist with irregular attendance will be subject to Bally's Casino disciplinary procedures.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Spa Receptionist may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • Upon employment, all Spa Receptionists are required to fully comply with Bally's Shreveport policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of Company facilities. Spa Receptionists who violate Company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year’s previous experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees of the organization. Ability to speak in a clear audible voice.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations required.

Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.

Ability to carry out safety and emergency procedures.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand/walk, sit, talk and requires use of hands to feel and handle, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally will lift and/or move more than 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Receptionist may be exposed to controlled temperatures. Receptionist may be required to work with cleaning chemicals. Work area is exposed to chemical fumes and smoke. Also, may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the cast member regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The cast member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The cast member is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
