Sage Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring for a PRN Cook to prepare meals for patients employees and visitors Requirements At least one year of previous experience working in a hospital or extended facility food service departmentBe able to demonstrate good judgement in the ability to organize work flow and maintain sanitation health and standards in the workplaceJob Duties Prepare or direct preparation of various types of foods according to standardized recipes to meet standards of palatability and qualityVerify food temperatures according to policyMaintain work areas and equipment and makes sure equipment ovens tables sink and work area etc are clean and sanitizedEnsure that proper techniques are used in the storage handling and holding of all food items Label date and wrap leftoversReceive and store stock and supplies in appropriate places and notifies Registered Dietitian of food shortages and of equipment needing repairFollow infection control policies including hand washing policies when handling dishes and when preparing nourishmentsDemonstrate willingness to help on work that needs to be done in other areas of the kitchen when necessary; performs other duties as assignedVerify temperatures of coolers and freezer 3 compartment sink and dish washing machineParticipate in monthly In ServicesAll inquiries will be kept confidential EOE
