SUMMARY
This position is our guest's first point of contact and is engaging, yet professional and will ensure persons entering the facility meet the policy guidelines authorizing entry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a continual presence at the assigned entry/exit, providing friendly and efficient service to customers and co-workers as well as deterring inappropriate behavior.
- Use effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude at all times and thanks them upon leaving the property.
- Carefully checks for valid ID's at the door when a potential guest gives the appearance that they may not meet the age requirement to ensure our guests on the gaming floor are of legal age to game.
- Be mentally alert and aware of surroundings at all times with quick response times to customer situations.
- Ensure no unpermitted items enter the facility: outside beverages, coolers, etc.
- Engage management for any guest issue or complaint.
- Properly interact with and manage intoxicated or unruly guests until Security Asset Officer/management arrives.
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. Requires general computer and data entry skills. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 18 years old. Requires a pleasant personality, tact and the ability to work with the public. Requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED
Including but not limited to security radio.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to lift up to 10 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for moderate periods of time. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to deal with large crowds and occasional upset employees, vendors or guests.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able and willing to work in inclement weather, a crowded, loud environment. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance. Required to work in close proximity to employees and guests. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards.
COMMENTS
Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
