Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables, ensuring accuracy and timely service Indeed .

• Assist servers by ensuring tables are fully set utensils, napkins, share plates, etc. and restocked as needed Indeed .

• Uphold sanitation and food safety standards while handling dishes and trays Indeed .

• Clear and bus tables by removing dishes, trash, and resetting them for the next round Indeed .

• Check in with diners to ensure everything is satisfactory and any immediate needs are addressed Indeed .

• Communicate directly with kitchen staff and servers to relay requests and clarify priorities, especially during busy periods Indeed .

• Assist with setup and breakdown of service areas, including cleaning and organizing trays and expediting stations Indeed .

• Handle impromptu guest requests with warmth and professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills

• Excellent multitasking skills and organizationtrack multiple tables and requests with ease Indeed .

• Strong communicationable to interact effectively with guests, servers, and kitchen staff Indeed .

• Physically capable of standing long periods, carrying trays or items up to ~35 lbs safely Indeed .

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, vibrant environmentparticularly one blending Japanese and Korean dining rituals, such as guest cheers, shared plates, and the social grilling experience Honolulu Magazine Yelp .

• A personable and team-oriented mindset, with an ability to respond calmly under pressure Indeed .

Preferred but Not Required

• Prior experience as a food runner, server assistant, or similar role in a high-volume or upscale restaurant.

• Familiarity with Japanese or Korean dining customs (e.g., yakiniku, communal grilling) and terminology.

• Food handler certification (helpful, but not mandatory).
