About the Opportunity
Chelsea Piers is seeking multiple Customer Service Associates to provide excellent service at our Aquatics, Registration and Field House desks. As a Customer Service Associate at Chelsea Piers, you will be the welcoming face of our community, delivering the highest quality customer service to all members and guests. This role calls for professional greetings, accurate account maintenance, and a deep knowledge of our products and services. Youll be expected to proactively meet member needs, answer questions with confidence, and exemplify exceptional hospitality to both customers and fellow employees. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic, and eager to take on new challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to build meaningful relationships are essential. We value team players who are willing to step in, cover shifts, and support their colleagues to ensure a seamless member experience.
Compensation: $16.35 - $17 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Multiple positions and shifts available during Chelsea Piers business hours
Primary Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome members and guests, ensuring all interactions are friendly, professional, and courteous.
- Maintain a consistently neat, professional appearance, including wearing the assigned nametag and uniform at all times.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Chelsea Piers programs, services, facility hours, and availability to provide accurate, helpful information.
- Efficiently process Point of Sale transactions and handle drop-in session bookings with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Professionally answer phone calls and address inquiries related to sports programs, memberships, drop-in sessions, event bookings, and moreredirecting calls when appropriate.
- Support the team by rotating between all Customer Service Venue Desks as needed.
- Provide accurate information to guests about directions, site amenities, and other on-site businesses, including restaurants and tenants.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of customer service experience, with bonus points for experience in a health club or fitness environment.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong commitment to exceptional service.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new skills, systems, and concepts.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative spirit.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
