Description
The Nursing Home Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, appetizing meals according to dietary guidelines, resident preferences, and facility menus. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure meals are prepared in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary restrictions.
Ensure proper portion control and attractive food presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and other staff to meet residents' needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or institutional settings.
Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary restrictions.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
