Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems. Provides prompt response to maintenance requests to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance & Repairs

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.

Repair or replace electrical fixtures, plumbing systems, air conditioning/heating units, and appliances.

Paint, patch, and repair walls, ceilings, and furniture as needed.

Maintain and service locks, doors, windows, and other hardware.

HVAC & Climate Control

Inspect, clean, and maintain HVAC systems to ensure proper operation in Arizona's hot climate.

Monitor thermostats, refrigerant levels, and air filters; replace as needed.

Plumbing & Water Systems

Unclog drains, repair leaks, and maintain water heaters.

Ensure proper water pressure and hot water availability for guests.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all health, safety, and fire regulations.

Inspect and test smoke alarms, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers.

Keep maintenance workshops and storage areas organized and hazard-free.

Guest Service

Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests in a professional, courteous manner.

Ensure work is completed with minimal disruption to guests.

Grounds & Exterior

Assist with upkeep of parking lot, walkways, and landscaping as needed.

Remove debris, clear ice or snow during winter months, and maintain outdoor lighting.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous maintenance or handyman experience in hotels or commercial

facilities preferred.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues quickly.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
