ABOUT THE KITCHEN STAFF

We are looking for an evening line cook to join the team. Applicants are energetic,anized and passionate. We are creating a collaborative team-oriented environment for everyone to grow and excel.

As a member of the kitchen team you will be responsible for working with the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in executing food preparation for our guests

You will be a part of a growing and evolving culinary program. We wee innovative, passionate and food opinionated individuals to join our team.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1+ years experience in the position you are ing for

Current Food Handlers certification registered with the City of Austin Environmental Health Services Department

Experience working with Mediterranean cuisines preferred, but not required (Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Northern Africa, etc.)

Ability to master a particular station - pantry, saute, grill, etc.

Personal responsibility mentality with a hands-on mindset

Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure

Dedicated work ethic and ability to balance focusing on the tasks of the day while also working towards long term goals and learning

Excellent interpersonalmunication skills across multiple channels - with guests, other employees, Executive Chef, management, and ownership

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Uphold menu standards, food quality, and a very clean and anized kitchen

Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in all facets of managing food production and execution

Maintain quality of mise en place and stations

Accurately preparing all prep items and customer orders

Working with other chefs on the seasonally changing menu

Working with other kitchen and FOH management to achievepany objectives in sales, service, quality, and atmosp

Abiding by allpany policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training

Be an advocate of ourpany culture

gracia, Catalan for grace , a full service Mediterranean inspired restaurant and wine bar in the midtown Austin neighborhood of Rosedale is the newest venture from restaurateur Cameron Lockley (Gusto Italian Kitchen + Wine Bar and Flavor Co. Catering + Events).
