Lawrence School seeks a reliable and hardworking individual to add to the custodial and maintenance team.The custodial maintenance staff member completes assigned cleaning and light maintenance at the Upper School Campus (10036 Olde Eight Road, Sagamore Hills, OH 44067) as directed by the Director of Facilities and Maintenance. As a valued member of our community, this position is crucial to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students and staff. Pay rate for this position is $15 per hour ($31,200 per year). The schedule may vary during summer, student break periods, non-school days, and occasional scheduling needs. Benefit package options include medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement plan, paid vacation, and paid holidays.
JOB DUTIES:
- General cleaning of all areas within the school facilities as assigned, using proper techniques and supplies to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Provide setup and tear-down assistance for daily and special events (tables, chairs, equipment, etc.)
- Provide maintenance repairs as assigned, within qualifications, and do so with minimal interruptions or distractions to teachers, students, staff, visitors, or events that may be in progress
- Carry boxes, move furniture, deliver receivables, and supplies
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use brooms, mops, vacuums, and other cleaning supplies
- Proper use of cleaning chemicals, including adherence to all safety procedures
- Positive organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good attendance record and reliability
- Ability to work cooperatively with fellow team members
- A clean criminal record (fingerprints and background check required)
