MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Computer skills and knowledge of computer software; ability to perform duties while maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
REPORTS TO: Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
- Greet and interact effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents, and administrators using tact and good judgment. Assist students, parents, and visitors entering the office area.
- Open, read, and route all mail; maintain file of correspondence and records.
- Answer the telephone, screen and refer calls, record and follow through on messages, including transportation changes for students.
- Respond to telephone calls, routes calls, and takes messages.
- Monitor the emergency communication system.
- Assist with student check-in and check-out.
- Maintain records of employee absences and serve as the designated leave keeper, ensuring all leave requests are accurately recorded and reported according to district procedures.
- Use technology to facilitate workload and enhance office operation; operate various office machines, including a computer.
- Promote positive relationships with local school personnel, central office staff, parents, and the public by assisting whenever possible.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and employee records.
- Assist with afternoon dismissal.
- Assist with student registration as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
