MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Computer skills and knowledge of computer software; ability to perform duties while maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor
  3. Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities

REPORTS TO: Principal

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
  2. Greet and interact effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents, and administrators using tact and good judgment. Assist students, parents, and visitors entering the office area.
  3. Open, read, and route all mail; maintain file of correspondence and records.
  4. Answer the telephone, screen and refer calls, record and follow through on messages, including transportation changes for students.
  5. Respond to telephone calls, routes calls, and takes messages.
  6. Monitor the emergency communication system.
  7. Assist with student check-in and check-out.
  8. Maintain records of employee absences and serve as the designated leave keeper, ensuring all leave requests are accurately recorded and reported according to district procedures.
  9. Use technology to facilitate workload and enhance office operation; operate various office machines, including a computer.
  10. Promote positive relationships with local school personnel, central office staff, parents, and the public by assisting whenever possible.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of student and employee records.
  12. Assist with afternoon dismissal.
  13. Assist with student registration as needed.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
