Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to perform routine and preventative maintenance on CNC machines, ACME machines, automation equipment, stamping presses, and basic industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, modify, and repair production machinery, assisting with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting as needed. The role involves working closely with Tool and Die, Engineering, Supervisors, and outside vendors to communicate and solve repair problems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery.

  • Troubleshoot, modify, and repair production machinery and equipment.

  • Assist with process or equipment improvements.

  • Communicate effectively with various teams regarding projects and repair problems.

  • Plan and perform work sequences to install, repair, and maintain production and building equipment.

  • Work on building/facilities equipment such as air compressors, HVAC units, and lighting.

  • Move and install large machinery.

  • Work from engineering drawings, schematics, work orders, and manuals.

  • Use basic hand and power tools, machine tools, and precision measuring equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, specifically with GE Fanuc and Siemens.

  • Experience with 480v and 3-phase electrical systems.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools, machine tools, and precision measuring equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts is preferred.

  • Experience with CMMS and maintenance management.

  • Supervision skills are advantageous.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 2nd shift from 3pm to 11am, with a $2 shift differential. You must be open to working weekends, as Saturdays and Sundays are required twice a month. Sundays worked as the 7th consecutive day are paid at double-time. The facility primarily focuses on stamping and producing fasteners for the steel industry. This is a Permanent position based out of Solon, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
