Purpose:

The Banquet House Person is responsible for supporting and servicing the banquet department, ensuring room set ups/tear downs and maintaining interior/exterior cleanliness throughout the banquet space according to hotel and brand standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Manually set up, break down, and service all meeting rooms in accordance with hotel's high standards of quality. Keeping storage rooms maintained and organized. Maintaining back hall: breakdown dirty dishes and bring to dish room. Pickup linen and put away.
  • Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest. Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.
  • Ensures that all banquet public space is maintained and presentable for the guests.
  • Ensures that the banquet kitchen is clean and trash is emptied on a daily basis.
  • Ensures that all of the banquet space is clean and maintained including service corridors and areas, suites, and/or any area of the hotel where a banquet function is held.
  • Ensures public space/rooms set up is done according to event and BEO (chairs, cloths, equipment, etc.).
  • Responsible for handling of all food items from the Kitchen and breaking down of banquet dishes for functions.
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining storage areas. Responsible for maintaining equipment by use of maintenance request.
  • Immediately responds to any potential dangerous conditions, i.e, wet floor; etc.;
  • Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of work areas. Responsible for moving/relocating furniture, equipment, supplies, etc.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; at least one (1) year of experience required.
