We are seeking an energetic and service-oriented Banquet Server to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during catered events, banquets, and private functions. From setup to breakdown, the Banquet Server ensures a seamless and memorable experience for guests through professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong team-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Setup:
Prepare banquet spaces in accordance with event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and buffet or food service stations.
Food & Beverage Service:
Serve meals and drinks promptly and professionally, following established service standards for plated, buffet, and cocktail-style events.
Guest Interaction:
Provide warm, courteous service by greeting guests, answering menu-related questions, and responding to guest needs with a positive attitude.
Table Maintenance:
Keep tables clean and organized by clearing used dishes, resetting settings between courses, and maintaining a tidy environment throughout the event.
Event Breakdown:
Assist with post-event cleanup, including removing decorations, linens, and equipment, and ensuring the banquet space is clean and ready for future events.
Food Safety & Sanitation:
Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations, ensuring that food and beverages are handled in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Teamwork & Communication:
Work collaboratively with fellow banquet servers, kitchen staff, bartenders, and coordinators to deliver smooth and efficient service from start to finish.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Support the team by assisting with inventory, restocking supplies, or handling special guest or event requests as directed by management.
Qualifications:
Prior banquet or restaurant serving experience preferred
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays for extended periods
Food handler's certification & TABC Certification
