Our art decoinspired space sets the stage for vibrant, seasonal cuisine with a spark of fun. At Joylark, we craft exquisite dishes, provide exceptional hospitality, and have a great time doing it. Opening in early October, we are hiring all positions, to start mid-September.Position: Line Cook, Full- and Part-Time
Were looking for experienced and inspired full- and part-time Line Cooks to join our team, working with our Sous Chef and Chef-Owner. As a Line Cook, you will help bring Joylarks culinary vision to life, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence and brings happiness to our guests. Your Role Will Include
  • Cooking on the line and prepping components.
  • Ensuring efficiency and excellence in food preparation.
  • Upholding standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization in accordance with health regulations and Joylarks kitchen culture.
  • Ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish, every service.
  • Assisting with inventory management and cost control.
  • Assist other areas of the kitchen, with opportunities to explore Front of House.
Were Seeking Someone Who Has
  • 2+ years in a similar position in upscale (or up-casual) kitchen environments
  • Flexibility to work in all areas of the kitchen
  • Experience in vegan or plant-based cuisine is highly preferred, but curiosity and the willingness and ability to learn is paramount.
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience with strong knowledge of classical cooking techniques.
  • Abilities to work under pressure, and to make the most of less busy times
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • A professional, happy attitude and demeanor, and ability to get along well with others
  • At least 18 years of age.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $22.00)
